Remediation Construction

Following mandatory notification to your tenants, A2Z Seismic Retrofit will begin construction, providing all necessary demo, trench excavations for grade beams and footing, provide structural steel column reinforcement, shear designated walls plus brace, bolt, strap, and hold down to existing foundation or equivalent structural reinforcement as prescribed in the city approved plans. Thereafter, we will finish stucco and paint newly retrofitted areas to match, haul away debris, and always leave building in a broom clean condition.

Upon your approval, an experienced seismic retrofit analyst will survey the property to inspect, measure and design a remediation solution along with a 3D Model CAD Design of the building including; a structural reinforcement design plan with an all-inclusive quotation and timeline for the required scope of work.

Cost Recovery Program

To remove the lien placed on your building by the city of LA, a certificate of occupancy must be recorded in the County Recorder’s office demonstrating compliance with the Soft-Story Seismic Retrofit Program. With your approval, A2Z Seismic Retrofit will file the necessary sign-offs to obtain your certificate. Up to half of the total seismic retrofit cost may be passed through to tenants if approved by HCID-LA, we will prepare and provide a cost recovery substantiation to file along with your application.
